View From My Window

This is what I see when I look out my kitchen window early in the morning, If I am lucky enough to make it out to the kitchen at sunrise. The sill is organized into gua's. The cactus is my friendship gua, it was a gift from my bff tarbo. The vase is my love gua because it is an aniversery present from my husband. And over on the right, the little photos are of my adorable nephew, this part of the window represents my family gua.

I learned about gua's from my little sister, who learned about them from a book called "Dorm Room Fung Shui." If you want to see what I mean you can look at this link I found. http://www.amazon.com/Dorm-Room-Feng-Shui-Find/dp/1580175929

It is nice to have a window like this for days like today, when I don't leave the house.

Rainy Day Makes Action Figures Stay Indoors

While it rained outside, that didn't keep these happy toys from having a party on the windowsill. I saw these happy toys at POSitive software where my husband works. He makes the kind of software that lets you add things to your cart when you shop online. When they aren't working hard they are playing with the bazillions of toys all over the office.

Carnage in the Columbia

While rock gazing with the family this weekend, we smelled a strange smell. We followed our noses to find about 30 fish, cut in two and dead as doornails on riverbank. It was a sad sight to see. They were big fish, with hooked snouts and pointy teeth. I suppose I should know what kind of fish they are but I really don't. My husband found one fish that was still alive and struggling for breath. It was a sucker fish, over a foot long. He rolled him back into the river and the fish swam away. We are both hoping he is alive and well out there somewhere.
