heritage tree sculture

Howard amon park. They are turning a tree into a sculpture of famous people of importance to the area. I see sacajewa up there and kind of right. The strange part is they are carving an eagle into the top of the tree, spread wings and all. I once saw a real eagle in this very tree.

Well its pretty wicked cool so if you want to watch him carve during the day head over there.

plus in kennewich right now, there are archealogists over there with screens and everything. They are going through columbia park and looking for artifacts. Luckily they havent found anything, cause there are some dogs that really want a dog park. One guy said they had found historics there. so I was sad that maybe they wouldnt get their little doggy fun park, but luckily historics is basically a word for kind of old garbage! yay! so basically it means the crap they found was like a 50 year old bottle cap. woopty do! But really, it is really cool to drive through and see them at work. Just hope they dont find anything.

Empty Swimming Pool

Kurtsman Swimming pool in pasco near 20th avenue. Its a really fun spot for the kiddos to go during the summer. Pasco has a lot of little parks instead of just a few big ones. I think they do this so that all of the children can have a place to play, no matter what. That is pretty swell.
They also have a few larger parks like Chiawana Park which lines the Columbia River. It still has one of those spinny things the kids can ride on, you know the ones that a lot of places have banned. I hope no fuddy duddy ever takes it away because it is fun! I will have to get some photos for my faithful readers. Since there are so many!!!

Pasco Bulldog Mural

This mural of a dog with a pitchfork appeared sometime during my highschool career. It is painted on the side of a portable classroom, one that is used for agricultural science. I always thought that it was kind of a scary dog, what with the muscley arms and the human legs. I actually took an ag science class in the portable right next door to this wonderful display of artful pride. I thought I was taking that science class because it was the easiest, but it has actually turned out really useful to me lately. The 5 or 6 things I learned over the 2 year course have actually helped me a lot as I start to plan out my garden this year. Cheers to pasco high! hip hip hooray!
