Down the street from the courthouse is the Carniceria La Barata. When I was younger it was called the Lucky Dollar. I liked going there because grama would buy us mexican popsicles, and maybe if we were lucky, a box of cocoa puffs, the kind with the monkey on the front.

I love the mural of the men butchering a pig in the tree. It's good to know where your meat is coming from.
I used to go there with MY gramma, too!!
I used to go there back when it was the LUCKY DOLLAR ... back in 1971-74-ish.
